Katherine began her career in healthcare as an emergency room nurse, where she developed a strong commitment to helping others during critical moments. Over time, she recognized an opportunity to make a broader impact and returned to school to earn a degree in legal services. After graduating, Katherine joined a large mass tort defense firm, where she gained valuable insight into the litigation process from the corporate side. Driven by a desire to advocate for individuals rather than corporations, she transitioned to a highly regarded plaintiff firm specializing in mass tort litigation. In that role, she saw firsthand that even the most capable plaintiff firms often struggle to provide each client with the level of time and attention they deserve, given the scale and complexity of mass tort cases. This realization led her to found SMART Reviews, with the goal of supporting firms by handling the intensive case work-up process. By doing so, SMART Reviews enables attorneys to focus on what they do best—litigating cases—while ensuring that each claim is thoroughly developed and thoughtfully managed.
