Becky Marquez is passionate about helping bring to market products and services that improve the daily experiences of consumers around the world. In December 2022, Becky joined Xperi Inc. (NYSE: XPER), a global provider of entertainment technologies and media platforms solutions, as Chief Legal Officer to help accelerate its growth and strategic initiatives. During her first year, she oversaw the launch of Xperi’s independent media platform which provides a user-centric, content-first experience for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to engage their audience, create brand awareness and open new avenues of revenue potential, regardless of whether it is through a smart TV or in the car. TiVo OS, an independent operating system for smart TVs, has earned industry-wide recognition, receiving multiple renowned nomination and awards. Smart TVs “Powered by TiVo” are currently available in certain European countries with plans to expand into the U.S. and additional countries. DTS AutoStage, which is bringing TiVo’s content-first viewing experience into the car, is now available in various BMW models in the U.S. and Europe with plans to expand into additional makes, models and countries. The DTS AutoStage Video Service is changing the in-car entertainment landscape, and its innovation has been acknowledged through receipt of innovation, digital and technology awards. Launching a new independent media platform such as the TiVo OS and the DTS AutoStage Video Service requires building relationships with key industry players including TV and car manufacturers, global and local content providers, retailers, and advertisers, among others. This is a complex and highly competitive environment with challenging legal, regulatory and policy issues. Becky supports the business, product and technology teams, helping them move as swiftly and efficiently as possible to deliver an innovative, compelling product for consumers, while still managing and mitigating risk for the company. During her first year at Xperi, the business teams signed complex contracts with multiple car and smart TV OEMs and numerous content providers to achieve their strategic objectives.
